Kill Gurranq

To complete this square you need to defeat Gurranq, the NPC inside the Beastial Sanctum. Wait until rune acquisition to mark the square.

Gurranq is a dangerous enemy and does not count as a boss. As he is a regular enemy if attacked, he counts as killed once you acquire the runes from him, as there is no “ENEMY DEFEATED” screen.

Do not kill Gurranq before you are done with the square Feed 3 Deathroot to Gurranq, as killing Gurranq effectively locks you out of that objective.
